Are you looking for some bright, funky yet simple design for your logo? Neon Lights Logo is a considerable option for you. This fun design can be employed to attract the attention of young audiences for your brand. This style of logo provides the client with a more dazzling and enjoyable vibe. For the neon style to work I prefer to work with black or a white background instead of a gradient background. Select a vivid color for the logo to stand out like a hot pink, cyan blue or bright yellow. You may find additional inspiration by searching on Vlemonn.
Let’s begin with the neon style!
First, we create a new document (cmd+N or ctrl+N) in Adobe Illustrator with an artboard size of 800 x 600px
Lets just a dark background to the artboard. Use the Rectangle Tool (M) form the tool panel on your left and create a rectangle the size of the artboard. Fill it with black color.
Use the Type Tool (T) from the tool panel and type bright on your keyboard. You may select cursive font that you like but I settled with Nickainley font. With the text selected, Click Right > Create Outlines. This will convert your text into an object.
Just stretch the text using one of the corner vertexes and pressing Shift while dragging outside. Pressing Shift keeps the shape intact then go ahead and align the object to the centre.
Once our text is in place, select it and go to Object > Path > Offset Path. An Offset Path Panel will appear and then set the offset to 5px and Mitler Limit to 4 and then hit Okay.
Now select the object and click right, and then hit the Ungroup button. This will separate the entire text into different letters and seprate the original text from the offset text as well.
Now just select the inner text one by one and drag it below the offset one. With the entire Bright text select create a group (cmd+G or ctrl+G). Now select the offset text and create another group repeating the previous command.
Let’s brighten up our design. Simply select the offset text and add a hot pink fill in it. Now select the bright text below and go to Color Guide Panel on the right side of the artboard and select the lighter tint of our pink. Go ahead and align the two objects as shown below.
Now select the offset text and go to the Effect > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Then a gaussian blur panel will appear, set the radius to 6 px and hit okay.
The neon effect is complete, but if you’d like to add some more brightness and realness to the logo follow the next step.
Select the Ellipse Tool (L) and create a pink colored oval on your artboard. Add gradient to the shape, radial effect with pink in centre and back on the outsides. Then decrease the transparency of the oval to 40 %. Now sent this oval backward by Click Right > Arrange > Send Backward.
Yay! Our neon logo is complete! Neon logo can be created in may different ways and different colors. Every time you change the font, you’ll get a new logo. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.
