Let’s get started!

Step 1

First, we create a new document (cmd+N or ctrl+N) in Adobe Illustrator with an artboard size of 800 x 600px

Step 2

Now use Rectangle Tool (M) from the tool panel to create a vertical rectangle on your artboard.

Step 3

Use the Direct Selection Tool (A) from the tool panel and select the top left vertex on the rectangle and drag it inside for a curved edge.

Step 4

Now let’s add a little detail to our design. Select the Pen Tool (P) and create a curved object as shown below. The object should include a 90-degree angle and a curved path.

Step 5

Let’s rotate our design. Select the two objects and Click Right > Transform > Rotate > 45 degree.

Step 6

Once the object is rotated. Repeat this step again and this time when the rotate panel appears, select the 90-degree angle. Then hit the copy option. Align this new object with previous one.

Now select the two objects and then route the two on 180 degree and hit copy. Then align the four objects together.

Step 7

Create your color scheme, create rectangles and fill them with colors you want. Now you can use the colors and add them to the Swatch panel by selecting them and clicking on the New Color Group button.

Step 8

Our design and the color palette are ready. Now select an object and fill it colors you want. Fill every object with a different color. Then select the curved objects in middle and fill them with a black color fill.

Now select objects and go to the opacity panel on the centre top of our artboard and decrease its opacity to 20%.

Step 9

Use the Ellipse Tool (L) and create a circle on the artboard. Create a small circle while pressing Shift on the keyboard. Place this circle in the centre of the artboard as shown below.
