Install Unity3D in Mac

In our first article for Complete Unity3D beginner guide or tutorial series, we are going to download and Install Unity3D on Mac. Before downloading the Unity3D let’s first discuss the available version of Unity 3D. At the time of writing this article Unity3D is available in 3 different flavors. Following three different available versions for Unity3D.

  1. Personal:  Personal Edition is the free version of Unity3D. You can download and use Unity3D Personal edition free. Following are some limitation for Personal Edition.
    1. No Black theme or skin: Dark Skin is available only for the Paid version of Unity3D.
    2. Customizable Splash Screen: Customizable Splash Screen is available only for the Paid version of Unity3D. In personal edition games default “Powered by Unity” splash screen is available.
    3. 100k in annual gross revenues: If your company or you have annual gross revenue more then 100k$ then you or your company are not eligible for Unity 3D Personal Editions.
    4. Multiplayer: 20 Concurrent Users
  2. Plus: Plus edition is the paid version of Unity3D. At the time of writing this article Unity3D Plus edition is available with 35$ per month.
    1. All features available in Personal edition
    2. Dark Skin is available.
    3. Customizable Splash Screen.
    4. 200k in annual gross revenues: If your company or you have annual gross revenue more then 200k$ then you or your company are not eligible for Unity 3D Plus Editions.
    5. Multiplayer: 50 Concurrent Users
    6. Unity Team Cloud Builds 1
    7. Beta Access of Unity 3D.
  3. Pro: Plus edition is the paid version of Unity3D. At the time of writing this article Unity3D Plus edition is available with 125$ per month.
    1. All Features in Plus edition
    2. No annual gross revenue limitations.
    3. Multiplayer: 200 Concurrent Users
    4. Unity Team Cloud Builds 6 Concurrent.
    5. Analytics: 50/GB Month of Raw Data
    6. Analytics: 3D Heatmap Visualization
    7. Sourcode Access for Purchase.
    8. Premium Support for purchase.
